These earrings are created from an imprint of a hummingbird feather found on Gabriola Island

which adjusts from approximately 16

and adding subtle embellishments such as buttons

To create the look, various metal oxides are layered onto glass, and fused together in a high temperature kiln. The colours of the resulting pieces seem to sparkle and shift as the jewellery twists and turns.
