Even in my list above, which is a soundly midrange/card advantage-focused approach to an artifact deck, I still prefer the efficiency of the one-mana Hotshot Mechanic, and very little of that has to do with its ability to crew up Reckoner Bankbuster

First off, tapping for a colorless mana is pretty flavorful for a desert
