Of the black legendaries in the set, I really love Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar, who is an excellent Commander and card in the 99 of decks with big creatures
But if you play two or more, you increase the odds that youll draw them too close together making the second one something like a bad Condescend
If a spell or ability an opponent controls targets a single creature you control more than once, Pawpatch Recruit's last ability will trigger only once
Beyond that, there is a huge variety of general support for dodging blockers across red, blue and black: its a mechanical theme shared by ninjas, pirates and rogues across all three colors, as well as the new pseudo-type of outlaw creatures defined in Outlaws of Thunder Junction
When you can support it sensibly it is great, it digs relatively deep for a quite low cost and most importantly is instant making it viable in control
Barring colorless cards, it's one of black's only ways to directly destroy an enchantment, making it a near-staple in mono-black Commander decks
