They essentially negate all combat damage coming at you, althoughtrample can still be a problem

Basandra, Battle Seraph Basandra, Battle Seraph isnt a very good commander, but at least it has a cool ability

It's a 5/3 flier for 3BB, which lets it push lots of damage, and the player can discard a card to give Witch-King of Angmar indestructible to protect it from removal and combat damage

It's even better in casual today since we just adore using our graveyard with mill and more
