This common card now goes for a fair bit of money thanks to its prolific use in the old Channel Fireball decks, back when the game had just 40 card decks and no real restrictions on other very powerful cards (looking at you Black Lotus)
Its similar to a Hallowed Moonlight effect in blue, and the cycling effect lets you get rid of the card if its not needed
There are plenty of 1 mana value creatures that provide interaction, ramp, or value
Bane has 2, most of the support cards I am thinking of have 2 toughness like Solemn Simulacrum, Karmic Guide, Ravenous Chupacabra and Mulldrifter, so that seems the obvious place to go
It costing ten mana can be looked at as an upside actually as here are some of the dumb spells you can cheat into play, like Maelstrom Wanderer, Call Forth the Tempest, Emergent Ultimatum, Eerie Ultimatum, and Last March of the Ents
Dungeon Master I confess I didnt know about this card before, and being a Heroes of the Realm card means it isn't technically a real card
