These days most decks don't have enough black cards to be able to comfortably pitch to this nor do they have enough reliable card draw to easily stomach the two for one

Unlike March of Otherworldy Light, which is the next best alternative, Prismatic Ending is just hyper-efficient, removing a Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer for one and a Wrenn and Six for two mana, never having to overpay

Pretty obviously if you don't have enough access to said colour you want to lay your land rather than cycle it and so for the most part these are just half the cost of the various other cycling lands and that makes them pretty all round great cards
