Its a little worse than the other free blue counterspells, just because it requires a board presence from you before you can cast it for free, as opposed to Force of Will and Pact of Negation
It drops our casts of White, Blue and then both by one each or two if both
Im sure well speak again soon, perhaps about our favorite former planeswalkers turned into woodland creatures
To note, it only lets you play the card this turn, thus I would lean towards using the plot mechanic to make sure we have enough mana for whatever we hit
Its certainly playable, but I take it much lower than Savor, Fell, and Feed the Cycle
Tolkien is where this genre started, and Im hopeful that seeing Gandalf or Galadriel hitting the battlefield years from now will still feel as special as I hope it will be
