and winding check -- the bluing is worn but I chose not to re-blue it

This tip also has a different guide placement pattern and a slightly beefier taper than the other two tips but it weighs the same overall

The spacer has an outer shell of beautifully figured burlwood that has been mortised

as shown in the photos
