and I have great admiration for the creativity of its maker

Old Brass Hand-engraved Snuff Box with Tulips, Presumed Dutch (Trench?) copy Time has taken a bitA bit of a challenging to photograph this one due to the shine on the brass, so forgive the crummy pictures . I am pretty certain this is a snuff box, definitely with a lot of years on it, and my guess due especially to the tulips is that it is Dutch. The relatively crude manner of the engraving, especially the zig zags around the edge and on the leaves of the tulips screams trench art to me, though I am not 100% sure.
