Old Handmade Make Do Wood and Metal Toy Car desk brush I found it stuck into

I found it stuck into a charming 19th century embroidered pin cushion that I purchased a few months ago at an antique shop

I believe he dates to the late 40s or so

with some wear to the paint as pictured

Just the figure measures 4 5/8" t

it was exactly and no lie and sincerely like the death of my little brother — I loved Tyke with all my heart

Old Handmade Make Do Wood and Metal Toy Car desk brush I found it stuck intoThis is just a little thing, but I love it so much, perhaps most of all the red star painted wheels. I am not completely sure what the metal pieces were salvaged from, but surely they had a life before becoming the sides of this little car or truck (?), nailed (with nice fat nails) to the sides of an old block of wood that forms the main body, and painted blue and red (much of which is clearly long gone.) Things like this make me very happy, just
