The rod weighs 3 oz. 7' 2 2 for a 4 5 weight line. The action of the rod is a bit faster than most of the earlier Model 98s that weighed less. Cap and ring reel seat over spanish cedar. All sections are full length and straight, and the ferrule fit is perfect. Walt Carpenter re wrapped one guide, re oxidized the reel seat hardware, applied a slight overcoat of varnish to the wraps, and
