this one dating I believe to the late 19th/early 20th century

missing a corner and showing some wear

and once could easily divide into teams and make it a timed contest

This battered c. 1920s speller, which includes both the names Mary Kerrvck and Johanna Babbit inside, is missing a couple of pages as front, has a spine reinforced with black cloth tape, and is annotated with pencil throughout. What I love most are the drawings on the inside
