Black pepper, fennel, and savory herbs waft over burnt toast with grape jelly, jammy strawberries, and a cooling aroma of pine forest. The palate tackles dessert with chocolate cake, banana pudding, and crme brle, without entirely pulling back on the peppery, herbaceous notes from the nose. The finish is on the shorter side, but teases out spiced apples and coffee cake.
